Poetry has always been a form of therapy for me. From bullying, boys, a felony charge (post at later date) and just not fitting in because of my appearance, poetry allowed me to escape reality. Correction, writing allowed me to escape reality. It presented a prayer to God to give me a renewed mind and strength to go on.
Growing up and becoming the constantly improving woman I am today has all been credited to my ability to express myself freely within my writings. Even today I am simply not liked because of how I look, even though I have divorce myself from the opinions of others, it makes for a great poem!
Finding what bothers you or has you sad, upset or excited, is best designed for writing and sharing with your audience, friends, family or just for your journal. But get it out on paper! Never hold in your feelings! It's not wise to speak out every thought that comes to mind but it's also not safe to bottle it up inside. So remember to write it out and tell God all about your troubles. Wisdom cries out! Are you listening?
Poetically Speaking,
